Pilot Project-Intensive Activity Based Program

As a foundation we believe in the ability, rights and duty of each person with spinal cord injury. Each person who has a spinal cord injury should have the opportunity to work on his physical health and even more, to maintain and optimize his abilities and functions to provide for himself and his community. Fundashon Alton Paas is committed to create those opportunities for the person with spinal cord injury so that he can achieve the maximum!

Fundashon Alton Paas wants to do this through guided intensive exercise-based therapy in combination with the Brucker Biofeedback Technique. This technique uses the Neuroeducator 3 Electromyography (EMG) Biofeedback System, which allows therapists to identify subtle motor connections between the brain and the body that survive SCI, or that have slowly repaired or rebuilt since being damaged. This information allows therapists to design individually customized plans aimed at restoring or improving voluntary muscle control.

Fundashon Alton Paas through its own efforts has achieved the necessary financing for the equipment needed here in Curacao and has also obtained an adequate space therefore.
