to Curaçao’s Biggest Fitness Event, coordinated by Defense Curacao
WILLEMSTAD, The 10th edition of the Annual Fitness Challenge is set to be the most exciting one yet, with brand-new experiences designed to get everyone moving—including the island’s youngest participants.
The 10th edition of The Annual Fitness Challenge, organized by the Fundashon Alton Paas, will take place on May 18, 2025, at the International School of Curaçao, the same place where it all started 10 years ago. The Annual Fitness Challenge is a 6-hour fitness marathon with 5- and 10-kilometer Walks, Spinning and Fitness sessions such as Yoga, Fit Combat, Zumba, Pilates, Line Dance, Pump-on-wheels, BBB and Circuit. The sessions all have the same goal: to bring people of all ages and abilities together to walk, spin, or participate in senior or seated workouts—all to raise funds for people with spinal cord injuries and other neurological disabilities.
For the first time, there will be a new element, the Kids Power Zone: a dynamic activity area hosted by the Curaçao Defense Force. It will feature obstacle-style challenges and physical games specially designed to help kids stay active, engaged, and part of the movement.
Another exciting new element this year is the launch of The Impact Ride-Off: a friendly 5 vs 5 corporate spinning competition hosted by Training Bike Curaçao using spin bikes provided by Burnard’s Health & Fitness Center. Unlike previous years, this year’s spinning sessions are extended to 90 minutes, offering an extra challenge for both competing teams and individual participants. To participate in the Spinning sessions, companies and participants must register.
The winning company will receive an inspiring prize package, which includes:
✔ A framed certificate with photo taken on the day itself to hang in the company
✔ A motivational session for employees
✔ An exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Fundashon Alton Paas
✔ An Inclusion Insights Session to make companies more accessible and inclusive.
“This 10th edition of The Annual Fitnesss Challenge isn’t simply a celebration,” says Alton Paas, founder of Fundashon Alton Paas. “It is a tribute to perseverance and inclusion. What started as a simple fundraiser has now grown into a full-fledged platform for awareness, movement and community impact.”
Tickets are available at 3 points of sale: Mensings Caminada, Van den Tweel (Zeeland) and Alton Paas Foundation Office (Colon).
