We had the honor of visiting the new Representative of the Netherlands, Mr. Edson Hato. Prior to assuming office as the Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten, we had the pleasure of starting with him a crowdfunding campaign to acquire a new accessible vehicle, supplementing our existing fleet.
Now that Mr. Edson Hato has taken on the role of Representative of the Netherlands, it presents a perfect opportunity to amplify the impact for individuals with disabilities on the island. This was the primary motivation for our meeting to introduce ourselves to the entire team at the Representation of the Netherlands. We shared information about our cause and the specific needs related to disabilities on the island, exploring potential opportunities to collaborate and make a more substantial impact for people with disabilities.
During our discussion, we covered key topics such as:

- Disabled parking permits
- Post-rehabilitation care
- Wheelchair-friendly transportation
Armed with this information, the team will engage in internal discussions to explore how the Representative of the Netherlands can actively draw attention to the needs of individuals with disabilities, not only in Curaçao but also in neighboring islands like Aruba and St. Maarten.
