Celebrate a Decade of Fitness and Inclusion – May 18, 2025

 

 

This is the 10th edition of the Annual Fitness Challenge—our biggest fundraiser to support people with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions. It’s a 6-hour fitness marathon with 4 activity zones: a 5k or 10k walk, spinning, group workouts like Zumba and FitCombat, and for the first time, a Kids Area with fun challenges by the Curaçao Defense Force. Join us to move, connect, and raise funds for accessible transportation, exercise programs, and life-improving projects

Fitness

Join 1 or all of the 8 different 45-minutes fitness sessions will be held in the auditorium of the international school of Curaçao.

Spinning

Join a 90-minute session open to individuals and corporate teams in the Impact Ride-Off. Limited spots—advance registration required.

The Walk

The walk is a 5k and 10k marathon. Both distances starts and finishes at International School of Curaçao.

Kid's Area

For the first time we will be having a kids area supervised by Defense Curaçao

6:00 - Yoga - Naomi

This year for the first time we will have the instructor Naomi for the 45 minutes Yoga session

6:45 - Fitcombat - Valeria

Fit Combat is a session using special boxing techniques

7:30 - Zumba - Charlyne

Zumba is well known fitness program using hot music with tropical vibes to burn those calories

8:15 - Pilates - Helen

This year we have Helen back for the Pilates session

9:00 - Line Dancing 60+ - Ruth Kroes

Line Dancing is a special session for everyone 60+

9:45 - Pump on Wheels - Ruth Kroes

Pump on Wheels is a session specially designed for people in wheelchairs but everyone can join sitting in a weelchair

10:30 - BBB Workout - Yoslym

BBB Workout stands for Bill, Been & Buik. it’s a workout focused on the butt, the belly and the legs

11:15 - Circuit Training - Tim

For this special 10 year occasion we have instructor Tim Driesen to do a cirquit training with different stations of exercise during the 45 minutes

Walking Instructions

There is 4 instructions that we’ve lined up for our participants to insure a great and safe experience throughout the walk.

1. You will receive a paper with the route description stating all the street names prior of the walk

2. At the beginning of the walk, there will be a person to give instructions with a speakerphone before the countdown to start

3.There will be signs with the 5km route, the 10km route and also arrows pointing to which direction you have to walk

4.There will be people on the routes with the “TAFC” tshirts that will be holding a small Curaçao flag to help guide if needed

At this year’s Annual Fitness Challenge, the Kids Power Zone is where young energy meets exciting challenges! With support from the Curaçao Defense Force, kids can test their strength, balance, and bravery through fun obstacle activities. It’s the perfect mix of action and encouragement—because the next generation deserves to move, play, and be inspired too.

What do I get included with purchase of a ticket?

Thanks to all our sponsors we will be able to give a free t-shirt prior to the event and during the event you can get fresh fruits, healthy drinks and healthy snacks during the event

How do I register for individual spinning?

At what time can I purchase my ticket at Fundashon Alton Paas

Fundashon Alton Paas has specific open hours that you can pass by to purchase your ticket. We are open every morning from 9 to 12 and in the afternoon only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2 till 4pm. You can swipe here as well

What can I do if I want to support but I'm not interested in participating
